I’m reading The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides and Variation and Change in Spanish by Ralph Penny. Both excellent books to start off the new year. What are you all reading?

I’m not a very picky reader - I like all genres and can appreciate something in most novels I read (that said, I believe books have different functions, and while I appreciate brain candy, I wouldn’t put it on the same level as Steinbeck). Kindle Fire
I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas!! An early Christmas gift, that is, since we’ll all be in Chile for the holiday and the holiday always feels different there. Christmas in summer will always be strange to me.
